Roger Federer moves into 4th round in Australian Open

ANKARA (AA) - Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer advanced Friday to the fourth round of the 2020 Australian Open.

The six-time Australian Open champion Federer beat John Millman from the host country with the sets of 6-4, 6-7, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7 to move into the fourth round.

Greece's sixth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas was eliminated in the third round of men's singles.

Canada's Milos Raonic defeated Tsitsipas with the sets of 7-5, 6-4, 7-6.

On day six of the Australian Open, the world number one Rafael Nadal will face fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, as Daniil Medvedev will face Alexei Popyrin in men's singles.

In women's singles, the world number 2 Karolina Pliskova will play against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova while fourth seed Simona Halep will take on Yulia Putintseva.

The 108th edition of the Australian Open will run from Jan. 20 through Feb. 2.
