Russia's consumer inflation eases to 12% in November

ISTANBUL (AA) – Annual inflation in Russia was at 12% in November, continuing its slowdown from previous months, according to official data released on Friday.

The figure was in line with market estimates, and follows readings of 12.6% in October and 13.7% in September.

Prices of food products saw an annual increase of 11.1% in November, while price of services were up 11.2%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.4% in November, also in line with market estimates.

The monthly inflation figure for October was 0.2%.

Food products saw a price gain of 0.4% in November month-on-month, while price of services posted an increase of almost 0.8%.

Growth in consumer prices by 0.5% or more was recorded in 23 regions of Russia, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in a statement.

Monthly prices increased by 0.3% in Moscow and 0.6% in St. Petersburg, it added.
