Saudi foreign minister arrives in Kuwait for unannounced visit

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait (AA) – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks with Kuwaiti officials on Sunday to discuss developments in the region.

The top Saudi diplomat arrived in the Gulf country late Saturday for an unannounced visit.

Kuwait’s state news agency KUNA said bin Farhan met with Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, without providing any further details.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the talks between the two sides dwelt on bilateral cooperation and the latest developments in the region.

Bin Farhan also met with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to discuss bilateral ties and regional and international issues of mutual concern, the statement said.
