Serbia, Kosovo agree to economic normalization, US says

WASHINGTON (AA) - Balkan neighbors Serbia and Kosovo have reached a historic milestone, agreeing to normalize their economic ties, the White House said Friday.

Spokesman Judd Deere confirmed the development on Twitter, calling it "Another historic agreement reached by this President to make the world a more peaceful, prosperous place."

The Kosovar and Serbian leaders are expected to attend a signing ceremony mid-day Friday to formally seal the agreement.
