BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - The chief prosecutor for the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) on Tuesday expressed his dissatisfaction with regional cooperation.

At a meeting in Serbia's capital Belgrade, Serge Brammertz and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic discussed the forthcoming report by the prosecutor for the UN Security Council, the proceedings before the IRMCT against Serbian nationals, the results of the work of the Hague Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, as well as assistance in institution building and transferring knowledge to Serbian judicial authorities.

According to the statement from the president's office, Brammertz expressed his dissatisfaction with regional cooperation and regretted the slowness of required document submission processes before IRMCT.

Meanwhile, Vucic emphasized that Serbia's co-operation with the Mechanism for International Criminal Courts is good, and despite disagreement on some issues, Serbia will continue to strengthen its co-operation with the Prosecutor's Office.

Late October, Brammertz announced he will submit a report to the UN Security Council in December, which will emphasize the need for regional co-operation in dealing with war crimes cases and the search for missing persons.
