BELGRADE (AA) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Monday discussed cooperation between their countries.

In a statement, the Serbian presidency said that Vucic received Schallenberg in Belgrade and said that his country is interested in continuing to improve the political dialogue with Austria, as well as deepening cooperation in all other areas of mutual interest.

He expressed his hope that Austria's support for accelerating Serbia’s integration into Europe would continue.

Emphasizing that Serbia is committed to continuing the reform process, especially when it comes to the rule of law, Vucic said: “I also informed Minister Schallenberg about the challenges that the countries of the Western Balkans are facing on their European path.”

He also added that Austria is the third-largest foreign investor in Serbia, with Austrian companies employing approximately 22,000 people in the Western Balkan country.
