Several rockets target US Consulate in Erbil

ERBIL, Iraq (AA) - Several rockets targeted the US Consulate in Erbil in northern Iraq early Sunday, according to local media.

Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw told Erbil-based broadcaster Rudaw that there was a terror attack against the Consulate in Erbil.

Khoshnaw said security forces in the city were put on high alert after the attack.

There has been no information about damage or casualties.

And there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
