'Silk Road Achievement Awards' delivered

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan (AA) - Annual "Silk Road Kyrgyzstan Achievement Awards" have been delivered at a ceremony in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz capital.

The award ceremony was hosted by Turkey-based Silk Road Strategic Research Association, International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and Ipekyolu magazine at Bishkek Hyatt Hotel late Monday.

Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek Cengiz Kamil Firat, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Bishkek Sadurdi Meredov, Kyrgyz MP Aliyarbek Abjaliyev and other officials attended the ceremony.

Seyfullah Turksoy, the owner of Ipekyolu magazine and head of the Silk Road Strategic Research Association, said the award ceremony was held for the first time in Kyrgyzstan in order to improve ties between the two countries.

Also in the ceremony, Anadolu Agency was given "Successful News Agency Award of the Year."

Ali Riza Tezcan, the deputy of Bishkek Program Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), was presented "Friendship and Cooperation Honor Award". Turkish Airlines Bishkek Manager Ozgur Suuacak received "Quality and Service Award". "Friendship and Cooperation Award" was presented to TRT AVAZ General Coordinator Sedat Sagirkaya.
