ANKARA (AA) - Spain beat Serbia 81-69 to win the second round's Group J in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China on Sunday so they will face Poland in the quarterfinals.
This group's runner-up Serbia will take on Argentina in the last-eight stage.
Phoenix Suns point guard Ricky Rubio was the top scorer for Spain against Serbia with 19 points in Wuhan, China.
Victor Claver is one of the key players for the Spanish victory over Serbia as the Barcelona Lassa forward scored 14 points and had seven rebounds. Claver also made three steals.
Spanish center Marc Gasol -- Toronto Raptors player in NBA -- tallied 11 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Serbian star Bogdan Bogdanovic was the top scorer of Sunday's showdown as the Sacramento Kings shooting guard scored 26 points against Spain. Bogdanovic grabbed 10 rebounds and produced six assists for Serbia.
Bogdanovic was the only Serbian player scoring in double digits.
Both Spain and Serbia previously clinched to be in the last eight phase in China.
Group J winners Spain will play against Poland in the World Cup quarterfinals and Serbia will face Argentina in the next stage.
The China 2019 quarterfinals will begin on September 10.
