Spain’s ambassador to Turkey visits Anadolu Agency

ANKARA (AA) - Spain's ambassador to Turkey on Thursday paid a visit to the Anadolu Agency headquarters, Turkey’s premier news agency, in the capital Ankara.

Juan Gonzalez-Barba was received by Senol Kazanci, the agency’s director-general.

Kazanci and Gonzalez-Barba discussed the steps to be taken to improve bilateral relations via the news agencies of Turkey and Spain.

Gonzalez-Barba emphasized that Anadolu Agency is the only Turkish media institution which has a correspondent in Spain, adding that the reporter has been serving for a long time.

He also stressed that it is important to have a cooperation agreement between Anadolu Agency and EFE, Spain's official news agency.

The EFE has two correspondents in Ankara and Istanbul, the Spanish ambassador added.

Gonzalez-Barba also expressed his gratitude and thanked Anadolu Agency for the cooperation with EFE’s correspondents.

The ambassador said he is willing to get information about the agency’s current and future works.

Kazanci also congratulated Gonzalez-Barba for his new duty in Ankara.
