Sri Lankan envoy visits Anadolu Agency headquarters

Anadolu Agency's coverage of ambassador presenting credentials in Turkey widely used by Sri Lankan media, says envoy

ANKARA (AA) - Sri Lanka's ambassador to Turkey on Wednesday visited Anadolu Agency's headquarters in the capital Ankara.

Mohamed Rivzi Hassen was received by Anadolu Agency's Director General Senol Kazanci and Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief Metin Mutanoglu.

Expressing his gratitude for Anadolu Agency's coverage of him presenting his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Hassen said the report was widely used by local Sri Lankan media.

Kazanci and Hassen discussed relations between Ankara and Colombo, particularly in trade and tourism, highlighting Anadolu Agency’s positive role in these areas.

During their meeting, Kazanci briefed Hassen on the agency's structure in Sri Lanka, emphasizing its close coverage of developments in the region.

The two also discussed possible cooperation between the two countries' media organizations.
