Students from OIC countries gather for iftar in Turkey

130 students, consul generals of OIC member states, academicians also attended event in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (AA) - A total of 130 students from member states of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met at an iftar (fast-breaking) dinner on Tuesday.

Consul generals of member states, their representatives, members of international non-governmental organizations and academicians also attended the event organized by Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) in Istanbul.

Taha Ayhan, head of ICYF, stressed that one out of three young people in the world is living in member states of OIC, adding that thus more than 500 million young women and men will play a "great role" in the future of Islamic world.

The iftar was followed by a certificate distribution ceremony of ICYF Diplomacy Academy.
