Surrendered terrorists expose child, woman abuse in PKK

ANKARA (AA) - Once more revealed the testimonies of PKK/KCK members who surrendered to Turkish security forces that women and children members of the terror group were subjected to sexual abuse and rape.

According to information Anadolu Agency obtained from security sources, the testimonies also revealed that children were recruited by the terror group.

A female terrorist said in her testimony that she got pregnant after being raped by a terrorist, known as E.A.

She said the PKK abducted the baby -- after it was born -- to sell it in Europe, and herself escaped from the terror group to surrender to the security forces.

Another terrorist nicknamed Amed said she witnessed and heard from those raped that the PKK ringleaders in Mt. Qandil, Iraq, were in “total perversion”.

Amed also said that especially the mania of ringleaders Murat Karayilan and Duran Kalkan with children and women is well-known and everybody hates the two.

A terrorist, only identified with the initials M.L.G., said she was raped in the Zap camp of PKK in northern Iraq in 2016 when she was 16.

When she complained about the rape, she was accused of spying, lying and slander and was put into a so-called PKK prison, she said, adding her witnessing of other rape cases.

M.L.G. surrendered to security forces in 2017.

G.C., another terrorist who surrendered to security forces on Sept. 12 last year, said a PKK terrorist raped a minor girl and the child was threatened with death to prevent her escape.

- Senior male members sexually abuse new recruits

A PKK terrorist, known only with the initials F.T., witnessed several sexual abuses of males again by males.

F.T., who was the member of terror group from 2003 to 2010 and surrendered in 2011, also said the senior PKK members raped the newly-recruited minor boys.

Another male terrorist -- nabbed in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakir -- said that he joined the PKK forcibly and was raped in a PKK camp in Syria. He also said many other children got raped several times in the camp.

Separately, it was unveiled that PKK formed a battalion of minors aged 9-14.

In this battalion, some girls were sexually abused, then attempted to commit suicide.

Those who got pregnant after raped by PKK terrorists were taken to the nearest hospitals to end their pregnancy despite life risks. Some minors, however, attempted suicide as they were unable to get over the trauma.

- Drug addict teenage girls face abuses

A PKK terrorist, who did not reveal identity, admitted that the group deliberately made teenage girls drug-addicts to abuse them sexually.

The girls aged 13 or 14 became drug addicts as narcotic drugs were put in their foods and beverages. The same person said that children were sexually abused once the drugs took effect.

In addition, the terror group exploited the weakness of the children and tried to prevent their escape from the PKK after addiction, rape, and sexual abuse by threatening them with death.

The same person added that some managed to run away from the PKK by jeopardizing their lives but those who got caught were killed.

The PKK, which is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU, waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years and has been responsible for the death of nearly 40,000 people. The YPG is its Syrian offshoot.
