Taiwanese officials visit Anadolu Agency

ANKARA (AA) – A Taiwanese delegation led by the country's economic and cultural representative Yaser Tai-Hsiang Cheng visited Anadolu Agency’s headquarters on Friday.

The delegation met Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief Metin Mutanoglu, World Languages Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Ozturk, and International News Editor-in-Chief Faruk Tokat.

Mutanoglu briefed the delegation about Anadolu Agency’s news operations, broadcasting languages, aims and mechanism.

Cheng stressed the importance of bilateral relations between both countries, wishing to further develop trade and economic relations.

On Taiwan's success in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus and keeping the pandemic under control, Cheng said that they are ready to share Taiwan's success with the whole world.

Cheng also discussed possible cooperation between Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA) and Anadolu Agency.

Souvenirs were exchanged at the end of the meeting.
