Osaka defeats Andreescu in their first ever meeting on court, reaching China Open semifinal

ANKARA (AA) - Japanese player Naomi Osaka beat Bianca Andreescu from Canada to advance to the quarter finals of the China Open in Beijing on Friday.
World number four Osaka beat number five seed Bianca Andreescu 5-7, 6-3 and 6-4 in two hours and 14 minutes.
Osaka ended Andreescu's 17-match-winning streak with this victory, as they have battled each other on court for the first time.
Osaka and Andreescu both have one U.S. Open championship in their early careers.
