Thai cuisine marks anniversary of ties with Turkey

ANKARA (AA) – Thailand's charge d'affaires in Ankara said on Tuesday that Thai cuisine will be spotlighted in the Turkish capital to mark the 60th anniversary of Turkish-Thai relations.

Charkrienorrathip Sevikul said the event, Thailand's Flavour Days, will take place at the Ankara Hilton Hotel.

Thai chef Inthira Phumpaijtr is expected to present samples of his country's cuisine starting on Wednesday, he said, and thanked Turkish Airlines which supported the event.

Sevikul added that travel expos were earlier held in some Turkish universities in Ankara and other cities to mark the anniversary.

Thailand's Flavour Days will end on May 5.
