Thai queen hospitalized month after husband's death
84-year-old receiving treatment for lung infection, fever at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok

BANGKOK (AA) - One month after the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, his widow, Queen Sirikit, has moved hospitals for treatment for a lung infection and fever.
Thai television channel Thairath reported Friday that the 84-year-old is now receiving treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok.
She had previously been residing at Bangkok's Siriraj hospital.
According to a statement issued late Thursday by the Royal Household Bureau, the queen has being showing signs of improvement and is able to eat normally.
Sirikit's husband, the much revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej, passed away in October after a long illness.
Their son, Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, aged 64, is expected to ascend the throne in December, officially making Sirikit Queen Dowager.
The throne is currently vacant and Thailand is ruled by 96-year-old regent Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda, the chairman of the country’s Privy Council.
