Top Turkish diplomat in Belarus to hold official talks

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu continued on Wednesday his two-day official visit to the Belarusian capital Minsk.

"After a fruitful visit to #Russia accompanying President @RTErdogan, in #Belarus to hold bilateral meetings," Cavusoglu said on Twitter late Tuesday.

Cavusoglu also met with representatives of the Turkish business community.

"We have made around $1.5 billion of investment in Belarus," he tweeted.

Cavusoglu on Wednesday will be received by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. He also will meet his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei to exchange views on bilateral relations and international developments.

Later Wednesday, Cavusoglu will head to Tallinn, where he will separately meet with Estonia’s Prime Minister Juri Ratas and Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu.

During the meetings, all aspects of Turkish-Estonian relations are expected to be discussed. Also, views will be exchanged on cooperation within NATO, Turkey’s membership process to the EU as well as regional and international issues.
