Trabzonspor continue their lead in Turkish Super Lig

ANKARA (AA) - Trabzonspor solidified their top spot in the Turkish Super Lig in week 11.

The Black Sea Storm strengthened their position with a Friday 2-1 home victory over Caykur Rizespor.

In contrast, Istanbul favorites Fenerbahce and Besiktas both suffered away defeats in week 11.

Atakas Hatayspor on Saturday defeated last season’s champions Besiktas 1-0 and took second place in the Super Lig table.

Ittifak Holding Konyaspor were also able to beat Fenerbahce 2-1 at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium on Saturday.

Galatasaray beat Gaziantep 2-0 while Medipol Basaksehir passed Adana Demirspor with 2-1, grabbing their third victory in a row under the guidance of manager Emre Belozoglu.

After the conclusion of Turkish Super Lig week 11, Trabzonspor are at the top of the Super Lig table with 27 points, followed by Atakas Hatayspor with 23, and Aytemiz Alanyaspor in third with 21 points.
