TUNIS (AA) – A Tunisian policeman was stabbed to death in the northern city of Bizerte on Monday, according to the country’s interior ministry.
A ministry statement said security forces arrested the attacker after chasing him.
The cause of the attack is not yet clear.
Since 2011, Tunisia has been hit by a spate of terrorist attacks by militants linked to the Daesh and al-Qaeda terrorist groups, in which dozens of civilians, security personnel and foreigners were killed.
