ANKARA (AA) - An Ankara court Thursday remanded in custody 25 out of 28 suspects detained over an alleged cheating scandal in the 2010 civil service recruitment exam known as KPSS.
The 28 suspects were detained in an operation two weeks ago after a two-year probe by the Ankara Prosecutor's Office.
Yucel Erkman, a prosecutor in charge of crimes against the constitutional order, requested that the 25 suspects be remanded in custody on charges of fraud to the detriment of public institutions and agencies, organized forgery, and being members of the Fethullah Terror Organization (FETO).
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office decided to remand in custody the 25 suspects while releasing three others under judicial supervision.
In March 2015, police detained scores of people as part of a probe into the 2010 KPSS. This May, an Ankara court remanded in custody 82 out of 88 suspects linked to the case.
