Turkey: 2,668 arrested in anti-drug ops last week
In operations last week, hundreds of kilos of illegal drugs, weapons also seized, says Turkish Security Directorate

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish security forces arrested a total of 2,668 suspects in anti-drug operations last week, the police officials reported Wednesday
In a statement, the Security General Directorate said authorities had also seized some 152 kilograms (335 pounds) of marijuana, 129 kg (284 pounds) of heroin, 49 kg (108 pounds) of synthetic drugs, 4 kg (8 pounds) of bonsai, 3,000 cannabis roots, and 5,000 drug pills.
A total of 34 unlicensed guns and rifles were also seized during the operations, it added.
