ANKARA (AA) - Turkish security forces on Tuesday arrested three people in the capital Ankara over their alleged links to the far-left terror group DHKP-C, a security source said.
As part of operations against the DHKP-C, police teams in Ankara arrested three suspects, who were being sought by arrest warrants for being active operatives of the terror group, the police statement said.
An air gun, 15 hunting rifle bullets, and some organizational documents were also seized, the statement noted.
The far-left DHKP-C is responsible for a number of terror attacks in Turkey, including a 2013 assault on the US Embassy in Ankara, in which a Turkish security guard was martyred.
The terror group is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU.
