Turkey: 3 Lithuanian tourists die in accident

ANTALYA, Turkey (AA) - Three Lithuanian tourists have died and nine other people were wounded Sunday in an SUV accident in the Antalya province of Turkey, local sources said.

According to the gendarmerie, an SUV fell in the Oymapinar Dam lake during a nature tour.

The dive crew of the Antalya metropolitan municipality launched a search-and-rescue operation after the accident, the sources said.

The crew reached the SUV and recovered the bodies of the tourists, and they have been taken to Antalya institution of forensic medicine, the sources added.

The gendarmerie also said that the wounded people were taken to various hospitals in the Manavgat district.
