Turkey condemns Monday’s suicide attack in Niger
At least 18 soldiers were killed in a suicide attack that targeted Nigerian army in Inates town near border with Mali

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey has condemned the Monday’s suicide attack that targeted a military post in western Niger near the border with Mali.
“We are saddened by the suicide attack targeted the Inates military post in Tillabéri region in western Niger claiming many lives,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“We strongly condemn this terrorist attack and offer our condolences to the brotherly People and Government of Niger. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives," the statement added.
At least 18 soldiers were killed as a suicide attack targeted a Nigerian army base in Inates town near the border with Mali on Monday.
Niger army has been fighting against Daesh terror group and organizations linked to al-Qaeda in the west of the country and Boko Haram in the southeast.
Meanwhile, France has over 4,000 soldiers in the region in the fight against the terror groups.
