Turkey condemns North Korea's new missile launch

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s Foreign Ministry condemned on Wednesday a ballistic missile test conducted by North Korea.

The ministry said: “We condemn the ballistic missile launch of 29 November 2017 conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), once again in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.”

The ministry called on Pyongyang “to cease its actions threatening regional as well as global security and stability,” and asked it to fulfill its obligations as stipulated in UN Security Council resolutions.

North Korea, in an announcement broadcast on state TV, said on Wednesday it successfully tested a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile called Hwasong-15. The test was also condemned by South Korea and Japan.
