ANKARA (AA) – Cyberattacks that have targeted Anadolu Agency’s web services have all been rebuffed, said the Turkish news agency on Friday.

According to Anadolu Agency’s IT directorate, all websites were exposed to cyberattacks on Thursday night of July 21 to block the system from disseminating news via several services.

Thursday marked the adoption of a motion on three-month state of emergency by the Turkish parliament.

The motion came in the wake of the July 15 failed coup, which martyred at least 246 people, including members of the security forces and civilians, and injured more than 2,100 others.

The attacks mostly coming from in the U.S. aimed at slowing and destroying the network system, which operates continuously.

Following the cyberoffensive, security has been tightened, the agency said.
