DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (AA) - Another family in Turkey was reunited with their son on Tuesday after nearly six months of protesting outside the offices of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), a political party accused by Turkey of having links to the terrorist YPG/PKK.

Turkish security forces told father Melik Aslan and mother Melek Aslan on Monday that their son Volkan, who they claim was kidnapped by YPG/PKK terrorists six years ago, surrendered to police.

In an emotional reunion, father Aslan told his son to trust Turkish justice.

Until now, eight families whose children had been kidnapped by the terrorist group PKK have been reunited with their sons and daughters.

The sit-in protests outside the offices of the Peoples' Democratic Party, a political party accused by Turkey of having links to the terrorist YPG/PKK, have been going on for 169 days.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
