Turkey: Opposition HDP calls for snap elections
Turkey should start ‘new democratization process’, says co-leader of Peoples' Democratic Party

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) on Tuesday called for snap elections in the country.
"The urgent need of the country is a snap election," Pervin Buldan, the co-leader of HDP, told her party's parliamentary group on Tuesday.
Buldan noted that Turkey should start a “new democratization process” with a new constitution.
Turkey is set to hold the general elections in 2023 when Turkish citizens will elect their president as well as 600 members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. All elected will serve for a period of five years.
