Turkey prepares world's biggest fried lamb liver

EDIRNE (AA) – “We started to prepare the biggest fried lamb liver in the world,” said Recep Gurkan, the mayor of the northwestern Turkish province of Edirne Tuesday.

Gurkan, in a written statement, recalled that the 8th international Liver foods and Bands festival will start on May 11, 2018.

According to the statement, two tons of fried lamb liver will be served during the festival, and it will be evaluated by the invited officials from Guinness World Records.

“Edirne will be featured in the Guinness Book of World Records with the world's largest pan of fried lamb liver,” the statement said.
