IDLIB, Syria (AA) – Military doctors of the Turkish Armed Forces on Wednesday provided health screening to civilians in Syria’s Jinderes district.

The doctors examined dozens of civilians, mostly women and children, in the Marwana village southwest of Afrin, which was recently liberated from YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists.

Members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) served as translators during the examination.

Since the beginning of the operation, 91 targets, including one center of a district, over 63 villages, 20 strategic mountains and hills have been freed from the clutches of terrorists.

On Jan. 20, Turkey launched Operation Olive Branch to clear YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists from Afrin, northwestern Syria.

According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability along Turkey’s borders and the region as well as protect Syrians from oppression and cruelty of terrorists.
