DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (AA) - Another family joined Wednesday a months-long sit-in protest against PKK terror group in southeastern Turkey.

On its 135th day, Nazli Sancar, mother of Serima who was kidnapped from eastern Van province eight years ago when she was 15, joined the protest staged outside the Diyarbakir office of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), a political party accused by the government of having links to the terrorist YPG/PKK.

Dozens of mothers have joined the protest since it started on Sept. 3 outside the HDP office when Fevziye Cetinkaya, Remziye Akkoyun, and Aysegul Bicer said their children had been forcibly recruited by PKK terrorists.

The number of families in front of the building is growing as they demand the return of their children, who, they claim, were deceived or kidnapped by terrorists.

Sancar told reporters that she has not heard anything from her daughter for the last eight years, and has no idea if she is dead or alive.

Noting that Serima was a high school student when she was kidnapped, she added: “I’m looking forward to reuniting with my daughter.

“I saw on TV those who escaped from the terror [group], which has affected me so much that I decided to join the protest.”

She also said she would not leave the protest before getting her daughter back and called on Serima to surrender to security forces.
