ANKARA (AA) - A report detailing measures taken by Turkey in the wake of the 2016 defeated coup has been published in English, according to an official commission on the subsequent two-year state of emergency.

The Inquiry Commission on the State of Emergency Measures was established, on May 22, 2017, in order to assess and conclude the applications concerning measures which were carried out directly by the decree laws within the scope of the state of emergency.

The Commission delivered decisions concerning more than half of the 126,000 application files within a period of the fifteen-month decision-making process, according to the report.

"The Commission, which the European Court of Human Rights acknowledged as a domestic remedy, hosted many European delegations," it said.

"The high-level delegations of the European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe, European Parliament and the EU Delegation to Turkey had the opportunity to observe the activities of the Commission on the spot with transparency and appreciated the Commission’s work," it added.

The published activity report includes the Commission activities, from data analysis system to decision samples, from the measures taken by the Decree Laws to the statistical data related to the decisions.

The report is aiming to give comprehensive information at the international level about the activities conducted by the Commission and it will be shared with international organizations, foreign delegations and media representatives.

FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
