Turkey to arrange training for South Asian journalists

South Asia Media Training Program to be held in English via video-conference on 2 upcoming weekends

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey will organize the South Asia Media Training Program to promote the experience sharing between the South Asian countries and Turkey.

Turkey's top news source Anadolu Agency and country’s Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities via video-conference will arrange training to be held in English on two upcoming weekends scheduled for July 11-12, as well as July 18-19.

The experienced staff of Anadolu Agency will provide training on topics such as Journalism in the Wake of COVID-19, Social Media and Internet Journalism, and Multimedia Applications.

The trainers will also speak about Turkey's recent growing experience in international media with the journalists from 10 countries, including Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, and Malaysia.

Cihangir Isbilir, the manager of Anadolu Agency’s News Academy, emphasized that the training will contribute to the development of media capacity of regional journalists, adding that Anadolu Agency, which publishes in 13 languages and provides service for around 6,000 media organizations in 100 countries, will share the experience of the global brand on its centenary.

He also said that Anadolu Agency’s News Academy, established in 2011, also provides applied and systematic trainings on transitions in media and developments in social media to enable the use of technology.
