ANKARA (AA) – Turkey will remove visa restrictions for Tajikistan starting January, a Turkish minister announced on Thursday.
At the Turkey-Tajikistan business forum in Konya, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said the two sides want to deepen their historical and cultural ties by enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including education, development, and tourism.
Bilateral trade between Turkey and Tajikistan reached $362 million during the first 10 months of 2021, Varank said, according to a statement by his ministry.
“I hope we will raise this amount to $1 billion with positive reciprocal steps in taxation and logistics,” he added.
