ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s state-run aid agency and official broadcaster began training news professionals from Balkan countries on Tuesday in camera operation in the country’s capital Ankara, a statement released by the aid agency said.

Organized by the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) and broadcaster TRT within the scope of the "Media Techniques Training Program", the program will continue until the end of March, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

"Turkey will impart its media experience to a total of 95 media professionals participating in the program from nearly every region of the former Yugoslavia," it said.

Participants will be trained in the theory and practice of camera operation, light directing, sound editing and visual media informatics technology at the TRT headquarters.

The first group of 25 people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia already completed their training and received certificates, TIKA said.

Thanks to such training projects, professionals from different countries are expected to also exchange their own experiences with one another.

Established in 1992, Turkey's government-run aid agency is responsible for implementing the country's developmental cooperation policies overseas.
