Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul closes higher to end 4-day losing streak

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,805.30 points on Thursday, ending its 4-day losing streak.

Starting the day at 1,835.33 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 1.15 points, or 0.06%, from Wednesday's close of 1,804.15 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,810.70 by the day’s end, up from $1,792.25 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was up 0.25% to $75.45 per barrel as of 6.18 p.m. local time (1518GMT).
