Turkey's Borsa Istanbul closes Thursday with new all-time high

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index ended with gains on Thursday to finish at 1,819.23 points – a new all-time high closing.

After starting the day at 1,819.69 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 6.93 points, or 0.38%, from Wednesday's close of 1,812.30 points.

One ounce of gold traded at $1,789 as of 6.48 p.m. local time (1548GMT), up 0.03% from the previous close, according to official data.

The price of Brent crude oil was $82.06 per barrel at the time for a 0.23% daily loss.
