Turkey's Borsa Istanbul down at close

BIST 100 index loses around 640 points from Tuesday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index decreased by 0.73% to close at 87,380.43 points on Wednesday.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 88,069.99 points and lost 642.51 points from Tuesday's close of 88,022.94 points.

In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,297.40 by market close, down from $1,298.60 the previous day.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $71.75 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Wednesday.
