Turkey's Borsa Istanbul down at close

BIST 100 index loses 176.58 points from Wednesday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped by 0.20% to close at 87,203.85 points on Thursday.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 87,664.50 points and lost 176.58 points from Wednesday's close of 87,380.43 points.

In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,294.30 by market close, down from $1,300.45 the previous day.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $73.05 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Thursday.
