Turkey's Borsa Istanbul exceeds 113,000 pts at close
BIST 100 gains nearly 980 points from previous close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 113,153.46 points on Tuesday, up 0.87% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 112,839.70 points. As of the daily close, it earned 978.27 points from Monday's close of 112,175.19 points.
The index saw the highest closing rate on Tuesday since April, 9, 2018.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,490.50 by market close, up from $1,484 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $67 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Tuesday.
