Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at close
BIST 100 earns almost 1,200 points from previous close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 96,714.48 points with an increase of 0.84%.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 96,129.69 points. As of closing, it gained 1,192.37 points from the previous close of 95,522.11 points.
The index will be closed on Friday due to the national holiday of Victory day.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,540.00 by market close, down from $1,542.30 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $60.13 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Thursday.
