Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,444.46 points on Thursday, up 2.38% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,419.69 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 33.59 points from Wednesday's close of 1,410.87 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1.750,45 by market close, up from $1.740,80 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $71.11 per barrel as of 6.23 p.m. local time (1523GMT).
