Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the week at 103,071.80 points on Friday, up 0.61% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 102,706.52 points. As of today's close, it gained 624.54 points from Thursday's close of 102,447.26 points.

According to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,504.20 by market close, up from $1,504.00 at the previous close.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $60.10 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Friday.
