Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up over 1.8% at close
BIST 100 earns over 1,800 points from previous close; Turkish lira gains in value against foreign currencies

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 101,846.94 points on Tuesday, up 1.83% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 101.375,47 points. As of daily close, it earned 1,826.29 points from Monday's close of 100,020.65 points.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,521.30 by market close, up from $1,518.75 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.70 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Tuesday.
