President Recep Tayyip Erdogan extends greetings to Turkey's Jewish citizens on eve of Hanukkah

ANKARA (AA) – President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Monday extended his greetings to all Jewish people on the eve of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights.
“I wish peace to all the Jewish [people] and in particular our Jewish citizens, an inseparable part of our society, for the Hanukkah festival,” Erdogan said in message released by the Presidential Press Office.
“We will continue to protect the peace and environment of tranquillity based on mutual respect and love in this paradise land, in accordance with our civilization and our understanding of accepting differences as richness and treating everyone fairly [...].”
Hanukkah is an eight-day Jewish holiday marking the rededication of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem -- the Holy Temple in the 2nd century B.C.
