Turkey’s FM meets Jordanian counterpart in Amman
Cavusoglu visiting Jordan upon invitation of his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi

ANKARA/AMMAN (AA) – Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday discussed with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi in Jordan's capital, Amman, ways to improve bilateral ties between the two countries, as well as regional issues.
“ Pleased to receive #Turkey FM @MevlutCavusoglu. Fruitful talks on advancing brotherly ties,” Jordan’s FM Safadi tweeted Tuesday.
“Solid progress reflected in economic & other agreements. Agreed 2-state solution only path to peace,” he added in reference to the two countries’ stance towards the Palestinian cause.
“Need for political solution that preserves unity of #Syria. Expanding horizons,” he noted.
“Evaluated bilateral relations & regional issues w/@AymanHsafadi FM of brotherly #Jordan,” Turkey’s FM tweeted on his visit to Amman.
“New economic cooperation agreement to be signed very soon in #Ankara will further our relations,” he wrote.
Cavusoglu arrived in Amman earlier Tuesday on an official visit upon the invitation of his Jordanian counterpart Safadi.
