Turkish academy trains media professionals from Pacific

Asia Pacific Online Media Academy provides 32-hour training on 10 different subjects over 2 weeks in 2 separate programs

ANKARA (AA) - A professional training program for media workers from the Asia-Pacific region, organized by Turkey's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), concluded on Saturday.

Two separate training programs were conducted under two programs called the Asia Pacific Online Media Academy 1 and the Asia Pacific Online Media Academy 2 in collaboration with Turkey's international news agency Anadolu Agency and the country's national broadcaster TRT, according to a statement issued by the YTB.

Over two weeks, the media professionals from various countries in this region shared their experiences and expanded their networks, said the statement.

Under the programs, expert staff from Anadolu Agency and TRT provided 32 hours of training on 10 different subjects to media workers in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of the Asia Pacific Online Media Academy 1, experienced staff from the news agency provided nine hours of training to the participants, including on news writing techniques, social media applications, and feature articles.

Under the Asia Pacific Online Media Academy 2, TRT's experienced staff imparted their experiences on video production for social media, photo and video shooting techniques, photo application, production, decor/stage design, basic text, and scriptwriting.

Speaking at the closing program, Abdulhadi Turus, vice director of the YTB, underlined the importance of cooperation in the field of media and detailed the YTB's activities in the Asia-Pacific region.
