Turkish business group to help guide investors with int'l investment support office

ISTANBUL (AA) - To help Turkish firms seeking to open up to international markets and foreign investors with an eye to Türkiye, an Istanbul-based business association on Wednesday announced plans for support offices for international investment and trade at an upcoming event.

The Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) will help guide both foreign and domestic business representatives with accurate commercial research information at the MUSIAD EXPO in early November, President Mahmut Asmali said in a written statement.

Underlining that Türkiye's quality production and logistics potential offers great opportunities, Asmali said the organization intended to contribute to the country's 2023 targets with the MUSIAD Invest Office at the four-day fair.

The MUSIAD EXPO set to begin on Nov. 2, is expected to bring together hundreds of Turkish firms, officials, foreign buyers, and participants from 124 countries, aiming to generate a business volume of around $5 billion.

"With the MUSIAD Trade Office, we will guide our entrepreneurs and industrialists who want to open up to international markets. Türkiye, which has strengthened its logistics position with the mega projects conducted in the last 20 years, is a favorite of investors," he underlined.

Buyers from over 50 countries, especially Azerbaijan, Russia, China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Iran, are expected to take part in MUSIAD EXPO.

The ambassadors from the D-8 countries -- Türkiye, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan -- will also take part in the event.
