BANGKOK (AA) - Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived in Thailand's capital Saturday to attend the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit.
The summit -- titled One Asia, Diverse Strengths: Enhanced Partnership towards New Dynamism -- will be hosted by Thai junta chief cum-Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha in Bangkok from Oct. 8-10.
The ACD comprises 34 countries, including Turkey, Iran, China, India, Japan, and Russia.
On Saturday, Cavusoglu visited Bang Uthit Mosque, which was initially built in the early 20th century by Thai Muslims and restored by Turkey's government-run Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in 2015.
He was welcomed by children in the mosque yard brandishing Turkish and Thai flags.
Established in 1992, TIKA is responsible for implementing Turkey's developmental cooperation policies overseas.
